ABOUT ABOUT

A mask is de rigeur for the well-dressed masquerade attendee, so here's your chance to complement your costume and learn the basics of sewing with circuits. We'll have materials for you to construct your own mask and decorate it with LEDs, sequins, feathers, ribbon, and more! You'll use the LilyTiny sewable microcontroller to add pre-programmed patterns to your lights. Bring your ideas and our skilled designers Abby and Christalee will help translate them into a reality.

This workshop is part of a series leading up to our annual Hacker Masquerade on November 2 (details & RSVP). This year's theme is Galactic Gatsby, so join us in your best retro-futuristic outfit and dance the night away! Each workshop focuses on a specific technology or project that you can explore, with time built in for developing and executing your costume design.

This event is 13+ and assumes no prior knowledge of sewing or circuits. Please direct any questions to cbieber at thehacktory.org
